The song sheet cover created for Joséphine Baker for her first revue at the Casino de Paris: "Paris Qui Remue", 1930. It was also the first recording Joséphine made for French Columbia in the same year and the song became her signature tune for the rest of her career. |

Though their caption publicises her then current appearance at the Casino de Paris, the star is actually seen in costume for the finale of Un Vent de Folie, her second revue at the Folies Bergère, 1927. Palladium: Variety Bill headed by Joséphine Baker, 1938 Poster for Joséphine's first engagement at the London Palladium, part of a tour she undertook for Moss' Empires in 1937 and 1938. She again headlined at the Palladium in 1974 to great critical acclaim, and returned shortly afterwards to appear in the Royal Variety Performance alongside Perry Como and the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Prince Edward Theatre, London: Programme Cover for Joséphine Baker's 1933 Season. Her first London season at the Prince Edward Theatre. Billed as The Idol of Europe, she performed her famous 'Banana Dance' and a pot-pourri of her greatest successes. The supporting company included Les Ballets Viennois and Toni Birkmayer from The Vienna State Opera, Naunton Wayne and The Sixteen Baker Boys. |
